No youth sessions today.
But this is happening at FYC, put on by the council. It`s not our event. Attendees need to sign up and be with an adult. Thanks!

My son loves going down to youth club. It's a safe place for them to go and hang out. Staff are great with them too. Heather

There, he saw the profound impact inclusive activities had on young people, motivating him to continue this work closer to home. At FYC, George enjoys the wide range of activities offered, particularly cooking sessions. He loves seeing young people get creative in the kitchen and experience the satisfaction of preparing meals everyone can enjoy. These sessions help build confidence, teamwork, and practical skills, which George finds incredibly rewarding to support. With a passion for gardening, George is excited about working with young people during the spring and summer to create a thriving garden. He hopes it will not only beautify the centre but also produce fresh ingredients for their cooking sessions. George’s enthusiasm and friendly nature make him a valued member of the FYC team.

You may see her popping in with anything from footballs to fire extinguishers to 50kg of pasta. She'll also be busy taking bookings, paying bills, and generally making sure everyone is happy! Bev comes from a background of corporate training and development, but more recently has undertaken training to understand young people, their mental health and the effects of adverse childhood experiences (but says she not cool enough to be a youth worker!). She lives locally with two young children and a chihuahua.
